MINUTES AND MEETING NOTES


In accordance with the requirements of the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Chapter 1, Subchapter A, Part 56, the thirty-second regular quarterly meeting of the American Naturopathic Research Institute (ANRI) and the Naturopathic Oncology Research Institute (NORI) and the International Naturopathic Clinical Research Institute (INCRI) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) was called to order at 12:00 p.m., November 17, 2017 at 1250 E. Baseline Rd., Suite 205, meeting in Suite 203, Tempe, AZ 85283.

19 members and guests were in attendance. This included 15 physicians and 4 non-physicians,

The meeting was called to order at 12:10 pm. We started by introducing ourselves briefly and our practices.

DR. BILLICA’S RESEARCH IN ADJUNCTIVE CANCER THERAPY

Dr. Huber introduced Dr. Billica. Roger Billica, MD was the Chief of Medical Operations at NASA Space Center, 1991 to 2000, and since that time is the Founder and President of Tri-Life Health, www.trilifehealth.com

Dr. Billica presented his proposal for a safety study. The procedures were discussed in detail. Patient population selection criteria and exclusion criteria were discussed. There were questions and answers regarding financial affiliations, potential risks, observed risks, protocol adjustments that were made to eliminate risks, blood labs, and mechanism of action.

It was unanimously agreed to approve Dr. Billica’s ongoing research as described for review under this IRB as a case series.

DR. DICKENS’ UPDATE OF HIS ONGOING RESEARCH

Dr. Dickens is updating us on his study. He briefly mentioned six patients and their experiences with this.

DR. MITCHELL’S UPDATE OF HIS ONGOING RESEARCH WITH CHRONIC INFECTIOUS DISEASE AND CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE DISORDERS

Chronic infectious disease and Chronic Inflammatory Response Disorders affect a large number of autistic kids. Dr. Mitchell updated us on his research.

GRAND ROUNDS: DR O’BRIEN’S CASE PRESENTATION

Dr. O’Brien presented two different cases for the group to discuss.

MICROBIAL CONTRIBUTION TO CANCERS

At Care Oncology in Canada, microbiologist Travis Christofferson works with physicians there on this issue. Metformin, Mebendazole, Doxycycline and a statin drug are the four therapies used. We discussed reasons for and against such a treatment protocol.

HAZEL CHANDLER – TRAINING AS GRASSROOTS POLITICIAN

Hazel Chandler, who went into remission from doctors at our IRB meeting, and whose book, Choosing Life Beyond the Big C, is on Amazon, has recently begun to explore a possible run for state legislature. She discussed this with the group.
